MEET COLE

“But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully”

1 Timothy 1: 8

Cole is a conservative servant leader, successful businessman, and born/raised District 51 Okie. He was raised on a small ranch in Middleberg (where he lives today) and attended the local K-8 school. After completing high school at Blanchard he went on to play baseball at the University of Oklahoma.

MEET COLE STEVENS

Upon obtaining his undergraduate degree, he jumped into the family business, Stevens Trucking, to assist his siblings and father with the operation. Cole has helped grow what was formerly a regionalized, majority oil & gas hauling fleet of 85 trucks… into a nationwide fleet 400 trucks strong and diversified in almost every sector of the economy. This growth helped land their family business twice on the Inc. 5000 fastest growing companies in America list. These experiences and insights into various sectors of our economy give him invaluable information that he plans to use to serve in office.

THE BUSINESS

These insights are also what led to his passion for running for public office. Cole was the industry expert that was behind SB20, “The Oklahoma Secure Roads and Safe Trucking Act”. Upon discovering that the Biden Admin allowed an ecosystem where commercial truck drivers operating 80,000 lb rigs across the U.S. don’t have to speak, read, or understand English… he knew he had to jump into action to protect Oklahomans on the roadways. Cole spent weeks at the Oklahoma Capitol helping craft the legislation with his state legislators, fight for his industry to various stakeholders , and ultimately see the successful passage of a Public Safety bill with Emergency Clause.

THE MISSION

with his oldest daughter having entered school age, he has already been working with the Oklahoma Secretary of Education and Governor on common-sense solutions to cell-phone usage in schools (beyond the current cellphone ban). He is working with a current provider of customizable technology solutions that could allow superintendents, principals, and teachers the ability to operate their classrooms as they see fit as well as emergency situation protocol within campus zones so that parents can communicate with their children in the case of an emergency.

His involvement at the Capitol hasn’t stopped there…

As you can probably tell by Cole’s to-date work at the Capitol, he has a knack for creative solutions and drives initiatives forward even as an everyday citizen. That drive comes from the desire to provide a better life for his family. He and his wife, Tara, reside in Middleberg and have three beautiful children… Rylee, Owen, and Ivie. If Cole isn’t working or helping legislators, he loves hanging out with his family, all things sports related, hunting, or golfing.
